2026 Gala: Here's Where and When the Annual Awards Ceremony Will Take Place
Save the date, foodies: the 2026 Gault&Millau Gala has finally announced its date and venue. Join us in November for what promises to be a spectacular evening, featuring an awards ceremony, a cocktail reception, and a gala dinner prepared by a leading figure in French gastronomy.
It’s official: the 2026 Gault&Millau Gala will take place on Monday, November 9, in the heart of Paris, in the prestigious setting of the Carrousel du Louvre. As it does every year, this must-attend event in French gastronomy will bring together the cream of the crop of chefs, restaurateurs, and industry professionals for an evening dedicated to culinary excellence. The ceremony and accompanying cocktail reception are expected to draw no fewer than 1,600 guests.

The highlight of the evening, the gala dinner, will host 600 guests. For this year’s event, Jérôme Banctel will be at the helm of the kitchen. As chef of the restaurant Le Gabriel (4 toques), located within La Réserve Paris, he distinguished himself by being among the chefs nominated for the title of Chef of the Year 2024—an accolade that attests to his current standing in France’s gastronomic landscape. His cuisine, a blend of technical precision and creativity, promises an experience worthy of the occasion.
Another highlight eagerly anticipated by the entire industry: the awards ceremony—the true heart of the evening—will once again follow the “nominees” format. This now well-established format involves unveiling a list of nominated chefs and restaurants in each category before revealing the final winner that same evening. This format has proven successful in recent years and will return for the 2026 edition with a host of new features, such as the Illustrator Award. It’s sure to keep the suspense going until the big night.
