On the nose, evolved notes of buttered brioche, fresh mushroom and candied fruit combine with a lovely freshness for a 20-year-old wine. The palate is full-bodied and the bubbles are just beginning to diminish in intensity. More masculine than usual, the wine is chewy and powerful, with plenty of acidity.
