The eagerly-awaited 2008 for two reasons: it's a very fine vintage, but also because it's the first time the house vintage has blended different parcels. The result is masterly, with a sparkling wine and a magnificently golden color. The superb nose evolves with every second, offering notes of gingerbread, fine wood, candied lemon and hazelnut. As it warms, it evolves towards mango and pineapple. The palate balances like a tightrope walker on root and mineral strings. It's sparkling, vibrant, luminous, chiseled and balanced. A real treat with wood-fired lobster.
