Taste of Paris: here's why the 2024 edition has been postponed

Taste of Paris: here's why the 2024 edition has been postponed

Ingrid Boinet | 1/8/25, 12:25 PM

The Taste of Paris festival is already eagerly awaited in 2024, but a change is likely to disappoint regulars. Date, tickets, exhibitors... We tell you everything you need to know about the next edition of Taste of Paris.

Some culinary festivals are not to be missed, and Taste of Paris is one of them. After a very successful year in 2023, the next edition is already eagerly awaited by its regulars. But there's a new twist to 2024. Here's everything you need to know.

What is Taste of Paris?

Before Taste of Paris, there was Taste of London. Created in 2004, the aim is the same: to democratize access to haute gastronomy. Over a period of several days, the festival, which has since expanded to many countries, welcomes top chefs to cook for the general public. As a result, at Taste of Paris, it's possible to sample their signature dishes at prices ranging from 6 to 12 euros, where they would be offered at a much higher price in their own restaurant. It's also an opportunity to attend masterclasses or discover new products.

What are the next dates for Taste of Paris?

Usually, Taste of Paris takes place around May, but a change has altered the organization. The Grand Palais Éphémère, which has hosted the event for the past few years, will now be hosting some of the competitions of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. Taste of Paris 2024 will therefore not take place. But the good news is that we already know the date for Taste of Paris 2025 ! The festival will make its grand return to the historic Grand Palais from May 15 to 18, 2025.

Who organizes Taste of Paris?

Launched in 2004 in London, the Taste festival now takes place in 22 cities around the world. Its arrival in the French capital in 2015 was the brainchild of Mathilde Delville, who continues to oversee the event as Program Director. Taste of Paris is also managed by IMG Events.

How much should I budget to enjoy the dishes on offer at the restaurants?

As Taste of Paris is designed to be as accessible as possible to the general public, you'll find most dishes at under 15 euros. Generally speaking, dishes and pastries cost 6 to 8 euros, while signature dishes are more likely to cost 10 or 12 euros. There's no set price, so exhibitors are free to set their own prices as long as each portion is a minimum of four bites.
Please note that admission to the festival is charged, even if you don't eat.

How much does admission to Taste of Paris cost?

In addition to onsite consumption, you'll need an entry ticket to get to Taste of Paris. The following tickets are available:

  • Découverte ticket: access to the Festival only
  • The Dégustation ticket: access to the Festival with 3 gastronomic dishes included in your admission.
  • VIP Premier ticket: access to the Grand Palais Éphémère via the VIP entrance and includes a pass for the VIP Lounge (Champagne Bar, wines, beers and soft drinks served at discretion).
  • VIP Gourmet ticket: access to the Grand Palais Éphémère via the VIP entrance and includes a pass for the VIP Lounge (Champagne Bar, wines, beers and soft drinks served at discretion) and 3 gourmet dishes.

Ticket prices start from 24 euros for the Open ticket, rising to 116 euros for the VIP Gourmet pass. Please note that these tickets do not include credits to be spent in the restaurants. You can pre-order tickets on the festival website or buy them on site.
Admission is free for children under 10, and there is a preferential rate for 10/18 year-olds for discovery tickets.

How can I get free admission to Taste of Paris?

To get a free ticket to Taste of Paris, you need to look for discount codes or win invitations. As the festival is renowned, many of our partner brands offer competitions and promotional codes. Our advice: go to the festival website to find out about the partners, then visit their social networks, where you may find free tickets to be won!

When does the Taste of Paris ticket office open?

As the event has been postponed until 2025, the opening dates of the Taste of Paris ticket office have not yet been announced. You will be able to reserve your tickets as early as March 2025. We'll keep you informed as we go along.

What are the opening hours of Taste of Paris?

Like a restaurant, Taste of Paris has two services/sessions per day: a "day" session: 11:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and an "evening" session: 7:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. So be careful when booking your ticket!

When chefs take to the high seas

Cruise ships and gastronomy form a well-known duo. Both have been sailing the horizon since the early 20th century. Today, while the sector seems to be experiencing neither crisis nor slowdown, cruise lines are increasingly calling on chefs whose careers are already well established on land, to appeal to an inevitably volatile clientele.
