Stéphanie LE QUELLEC
Chef : 2 restaurants Stéphanie Le Quellec, chef at La Scène restaurant in Paris, has established herself as one of the leading figures in French gastronomy, well beyond her acclaimed stint on Top Chef.Like many of her peers, Stéphanie Le Quellec, née Lecocq, had a life before television. In 1998, when she was not yet 20, she worked with MOF Philippe Legendre at the George V restaurant. It was there that she met her future husband, David Le Quellec.
A family interlude before Provence
The couple left Paris for Provence, where David worked at Faventia, the restaurant of the sumptuous Terre Blanche Hôtel Spa in Tourrettes, Var.
Stéphanie put her career on hold to look after their first child, before joining Philippe Jourdin's team, and taking over from him in 2010. A few months later, she accepted an offer from M6 to take part in Top Chef.
From television to Parisian palaces
Her victory in the competition and the ensuing media exposure propelled her career forward. In 2013, she was chosen to become head chef at the Prince de Galles in Paris, freshly reopened after major renovations. Expectations were immense: the chef had to convince a public already won over by her television talent. She imposed herself through her exacting standards, precision and sense of modernity.
La Scène, the culmination of a personal signature
But it was in 2020, when she opened La Scène on Avenue Matignon, that Stéphanie Le Quellec really took off. Her cuisine, at once luxurious, sensitive and masterful, earned her the unanimous esteem of critics and the public alike.
In just a few years, she joined the exclusive club of 4 Gault&Millau toques, symbolizing her maturity and assertive style. Recently, her husband David Le Quellec joined her in this wonderful adventure, after several years in the kitchens of the Moulin-Rouge. Together, they represent a solid gastronomic couple, united by passion and a taste for a job well done.
