What are the other Gault&Millau prizes/trophies?
During the eleven Gault&Millau Tours, around ten trophies are awarded to the winners each year. The entire hotel and restaurant industry is rewarded, and the regional winners are announced: Gault&Millau d'Or, Grand de Demain, Tradition d'Aujourd'hui, Pâtissier, Accueil, Terroir d'Exception, etc.
As for the Gala, it's an opportunity to reward the talents of the past year, namely the six Grands de Demain, the Pâtissier, the Sommelier, the Directeur de Salle, the Jeune Talent en Salle and, of course, the Chef of the Year. These benchmarks enable chefs to know where they stand and customers to know where to place their expectations.
