Gault&Millau's review 2026

Arsenic is one of the Têtedoie nurseries, a residence for young chefs who can find here an opportunity to showcase their talent in one of Lyon's lively arrondissements. While the promise remains tempting, with honest value for money, the only two evening set menus are inconsistent, and imperfectly executed. The chef seems to be moving forward in a fog, proposing dishes in between two bright spells of sunshine whose sequence remains muddled. Our GPS did spot this pretty burrata tartlet with peas and acacia flower, or this inverted egg, accompanied by a magnificent bisque of étrilles. The maigre de corse, escorted by a declination of fennel, does well. For the rest, the potato espuma topped with shredded bottarga, or the rhubarb dessert, far too acidic, are lost. The wine list is much clearer, and offers some nice escapades between some still young appellations, but offered at fair prices. Service is phlegmatic, but attentive and unostentatious.
