Gault&Millau's review 2025

Opening in June 2021, this new address ticks all the boxes. Isabelle and Gilles Moynier are to blame, having fallen in love with the 1882 building just a stone's throw from Perrache station, a popular and arty neighborhood with a mix of antique shops and galleries. The couple first called on architect Olivier Guyot to redesign the space. Fueled as much by their travels as by their passion for china, Isabelle and Gilles then began to make their mark on the premises. Here, you can relax in lounges decorated with Castaing-style sofas, admire precious and unusual objects alongside antique books in the library, lit by a superb Neapolitan chandelier. The 30 rooms exude the same whimsical refinement, with photos of artists, custom-designed desks, shelves and closets, and beautiful bathrooms inspired by 1920s bathrooms. On the Art Deco washbasins, organic products testify to the eco-responsible spirit that also infuses the place, determined to work in short circuits with local craftsmen and merchants.
