Gault&Millau's review 2025

On the heights of Lyon, this recent hotel designed by a dream trio (interior architects Jean-Michel Wilmotte, Jacques Grange and landscape architect Louis Benech) continues to attract lovers of contemporary, refined, unostentatious luxury. Decorated with antique columns that resemble Roman baths, the spa is the perfect setting for rejuvenation (20 m pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, hammam and fitness room). The 34 rooms and suites exude softness and serenity, with beds covered in silk-fibre comforters, thick carpets and majestic Carrara marble bathrooms. Most are extended by a terrace, the ideal promontory for admiring the rising sun or the city lights that sparkle at dusk. Opposite the hotel, chef Christian Têtedoie revisits Bocuse classics.
