Gault&Millau's review 2025

On Lyon's peninsula, this luxurious boutique hotel is housed in the former presbytery of the Saint-Martin d'Ainay basilica, and offers guests the cosy charm of a heritage revisited by Lyon-based decorators Maison Hand. The proof is in the 21 rooms and suites, which offer cosy, welcoming spaces with XXL bedding, iconic design pieces ("Mushroom" by Pierre Paulin, "Togo" sofa by Ligne Roset) and beautiful furniture, either custom-designed or sourced from nearby antique dealers. On the first floor, the L'Artichaut restaurant treats gourmets to bistronomic cuisine, backed by the warm and welcoming Café Basilic. A perfect address for exploring the city, halfway between Place Bellecour and the Musée des Confluences.
