Julien Bedu and Thomas Poirier are the driving force behind this attractive bistro offering in Auxerre. The restaurant is almost fully booked, and everyone from young couples to entire families come here for lunch in town or to mark a special occasion. The place is in good shape, with a contemporary decor featuring sober elements, a small counter and a room divided into two areas. The cuisine is pleasant, in a market-table style, with seasonal produce: large white asparagus with a soft-boiled egg (which could do with a little less cooking), Maltese sauce and dried bonito, a shoulder of lamb from Clavisy, chickpeas, coriander and thyme, a dessert based around chocolate, coffee and caramelized peanuts, all in good harmony. Well-stocked Burgundy cellar (Drouhin, Ramonet, Lamy, Morot, Richoux...).
