Gourmet Restaurant Gault&Millau is justifiably proud of its young Dotation winners. Opening a restaurant is always a gamble, especially nowadays, and making it grow is a real adventure. Corinne Bec and Najem Atmeh, a young Franco-Lebanese couple trained in the finest restaurants in both countries, have created a convivial yet modern setting just a few meters from the Halles Paul Bocuse. No big mirrors or oriental stucco, but something simple and warm at the same time. The cuisine follows the same vein. The small three-course menu at €27 gives a good idea of their savoir-faire. Dishes inspired by mezze encounters, a cuisine that blends sea and mountain produce, like this cocoon loin with seven-spice broth, or this very tasty roast eggplant with lentil vinaigrette and raw cream. Desserts also take you to different landscapes and identities. A Lyonnais baklava with pink praline or a delicious mouhalabieh flan, infused with orange blossom and pistachio. The wine list is pleasing, with a selection of Mediterranean wines. An ideal place, too, to take your lunch break in this neighborhood near the courthouse between 6ᵉ and 3ᵉ. Precise, fast service.
