Gault&Millau's review 2026

It's a typically Parisian bistro for Parisians. Part of the Dumant family's bistro necklace, it's right there, and right there it is, in its pure décor adorned with large paintings that you wouldn't buy, depicting sportsmen and women from the 50s and 60s (we had lunch opposite a rather distant representation of Lev Yachine), and hosted by the experienced Fred Prudhomme. All the expected classics are there, on this bare typewritten me, egg mayo, kidneys, chicken vin jaune, steak au poivre and even quenelles to give the perfume of corks. The terrine is honorable and copiously served, as are the tournedos béarnaise, the herb-crusted lamb or the filet of sea bass with saffron butter found on the day's slate. Desserts are also of a decent standard, including large crème caramel, baba and profiteroles, as well as wines from well-known cellar owners (Crochet, Graillot, Muzard, Richaud...) and a small selection by the glass, not too expensive at around €10.
