Prestige Hotel Canopy, a new brand of the American Hilton brand, aims to appeal to a young, nomadic generation, with locations each anchored in the culture of a particular city or country. The Parisian address, to be inaugurated in 2021, is housed in a former 1932 power station whose architect, Jean-Philippe Nuel, has taken on all its codes, drawing inspiration from the architecture of Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand. The lobby, lit by a sumptuous glass roof, houses a bar and lounge decorated with Art Deco vases. The 123 guest rooms and suites are all different, with light wood panelling, Mondrian-style carpets and en-suite bathrooms. The same local spirit infuses the restaurant led by Robin Kubarek, which celebrates products from the Île-de-France region and sustainable fishing. The provenance is identical, but the spirit is more snacking on the rooftop, exceptional with its large parasols, ultra-comfortable sofas and a magical view of the Eiffel Tower and the Seine.
