Gault&Millau's review2026
Brasseries, I love you! Of course, the Lutetia isn't the first to come along. But in the imagination of the tourist visiting the capital, it combines all the good points: a real welcome, a well-trained and numerous staff, a beautiful setting and professional chefs. All these ingredients, which are increasingly rare in Paris, are well worth a bill that may seem excessive, but is ultimately logical, despite the relative discomfort of the armchairs. The seafood platters are dripping with freshness, the foie gras is good, sliced to the right thickness (around 2 cm) and served with a wedge of lightly candied pear, the Grenoble sole, cooked to the bone, is prepared according to the rules and cut up in the dining room, only the pear charlotte for dessert seemed almost common and not fruity enough. The glass of wine, priced at around €20, is well chosen, and even the purée, which is compact and not too smooth, with a tasty potato, is a two-hat purée.
