Chef's Restaurant Of course, the name of our "Chef of the Century" still appeals to the international clientele, who seem to be in the majority when you listen to the conversations taking place in this "Left Bank" version of the Atelier. Ideally, you'll be seated at the counter, pampered by a service that somewhat overplays the exclusivity of a moment that ultimately has more to do with the frightening amount of the bill than the quality of the plates. The best choice is undoubtedly the Dégustation menu (priced at €159 on our last visit...) which, it's true, gives a broad overview of the cuisine imagined by the master in just a dozen or so dishes paying homage to fine produce and great classics. Let's be honest, we're often bored, but a few bites make us raise an eyebrow, like the soft-boiled egg, Comté cream, black truffle and onion confit, or the miso-marinated black cod on a yuzu-infused daikon velouté. The Robuchon purée is a must-try at least once in your life, and the cellar is best visited for its selection by the glass, unless you can afford to live in a five-room apartment on Rue du Bac...
