Gault&Millau's review 2025

Set opposite Serge Gainsbourg's home, this emblematic Left Bank address underwent a facelift in 2018, on the initiative of owner Nicolas Nonon, who asked architect Isabelle Stanislas to restore the elegant atmosphere of its origins. The 26 rooms and suites now boast a sober, refined decor, with very contemporary walnut furniture contrasting with the stone vaults and exposed beams of the historic residence... On the first floor, the lounge warmed by a fireplace and decorated with large bookcases is the perfect invitation to relax after a stroll through Saint-Germain-des-Prés, while enjoying a cup of tea or a cocktail and admiring the works of art adorning the walls, notably a neon by Claude Lévêque entitled "Regarde les rire", from the private collections of Nicolas Nonon. A place conceived as a family home, discreet, warm and arty...
