Gault&Millau's review 2026

The large number of regulars at lunchtime (many of whom are local executives, who come to indulge their passion for good food and drink) is a sign that sitting down at Clément Barbot is no chore. In this atmosphere of open revelry, the cuisine is confined mainly to (very) safe values: duck terrine, mayo eggs (which can be enhanced with black truffles for those who like to spend without asking too many questions about provenance), beef chuck braised in red wine or the fish of the day, a lovely cod and Jerusalem artichoke purée on the day of our last visit. We add a generous slice of stilton before moving on to an airy chocolate soufflé for a sequence that logically carries you away at around 50 euros. Consistent cellar, friendly service.
