Gault&Millau's review
Since 2019, Florent Roques-Boizel and his brother Lionel have presided over the destiny of this almost two-century-old house, setting their champagne on a new development strategy. Thanks to major renovation work carried out by Reims architect Giovanni Pace, tailor-made wine tourism offers are now available, and the new cellar has made it possible not only to increase the ageing of reserve wines in foudres, but also to increase the proportion of reserve wines in the blends. Combined with the reduction in dosage, these developments have resulted in a range of double-entry champagnes that highlight the "Terroir" and "Time" dimensions of Boizel production. Since March 2023, the house has entrusted part of the distribution of its iconic "Joyau" cuvée to five Bordeaux-based négociants.

Presentation
Une fois passée la grille d’entrée du 46 de l’avenue de Champagne à Épernay, le bâtiment principal se dresse. Il abrite une grande partie des trésors de la maison Boizel, installée là depuis 1834. Réparti sur 7 hectares, le vignoble est situé au cœur des meilleurs crus historiques de la Champagne, dont la côte des Blancs et Avize, d’où est originaire la famille. Florent et son frère Lionel travaillent main dans la main avec leurs partenaires vignerons. La maison accueille les épicuriens du monde entier au sein de son magnifique écrin récemment rénové.
