Chef's Restaurant Laurent Helleu has never taken the easy way out. It can be tempting in areas of high tourist attraction! But no! The son of restaurateurs (on the borders of Ille-et-Vilaine and Manche, "Roc Land" was awarded a 14/20 for a long time in the 90s!), he has remained faithful to his upbringing and subsequent training with the great names in gastronomy. Strict respect for the seasons and absolute freshness of produce remain his bedrock. From his quayside restaurant, he can even catch a glimpse of "his" fisherman, who has made the bay his playground. So, let yourself be tempted by the oysters and seafood just placed on a platter or lightly prepared, like these whelks cooked in an aromatic broth and served with a homemade mayonnaise. But it's equally important to taste dishes that are "simple" but so precise in flavor. No showboating. The product for the product, illuminated only by a few garden herbs, spices and condiments that preserve its very essence, like these minute marinated scallops spiced up with ginger and pomegranate, or this pretty, delicate, golden-brown sole accompanied by a few roasted seasonal vegetables and revered rice. Consensual, gourmet desserts. In the small bistro-style dining room with its pleasant terrace, Denise dynamically leads the friendly service. A small cellar that does the trick well, with Montlouis from Chidaine, Condrieu from Cuilleron or Beaujolais from Domaine du Penlois.
