Gault&Millau's review2026
Pascal and Djemaa Dorche's house is Gap's finest address, quietly and confidently operating for almost forty years. The three toques awarded to the establishment over the last two years are a credit to Le Pasturier, which offers a formidable Provençal cuisine, full of truth and delicacy. It's a warm, bourgeois place, slightly old-fashioned but above all timeless, where you'll come back for grilled scallops, leek fondue with truffles and grated, wild sea bass filet grilled a la plancha, artichokes with saffron purée and thyme flower butter, a rack of lamb from the Hautes-Alpes roasted with herbs, buttered wheat, seasonal vegetables and thyme jus, and finally a calisson de Provence glacé, orange chin and basil peach coulis. Beautiful cellar book.
