In the heart of Barcelonnette and the Ubaye valley, a jewel of unspoilt nature, this boutique hotel is housed in a sumptuous residence built in the 1880s by one of the families who returned to their homeland after making their fortune in the textile industry in Mexico. Now owned by Rémi and Delphine Guibal, this "Mexican villa" has retained its 19th-century wood panelling and large fireplaces, but now feels more like a family home, with 29 cosy bedrooms and a lounge-library decorated with works of contemporary art, one of Rémi and Delphine's passions. Ideal for relaxation, the spa features organic skincare products by Avril, reflecting the hotel's commitment to eco-responsibility. Here, we are committed to saving water and energy, and we favor small regional producers - and all the better for it. The proof is in the delicious breakfast served on the large shaded terrace, with organic breads, honey, jams and 100% local cheeses.
