Remarkable Restaurant Popular wisdom has it that you should never trust your first impressions. That's true when you meet someone, and it's just as true for the Dimofski family as it is for their restaurant, a stern-looking building that stands on the side of a busy road. After leaving your car in the potholed parking lot, you're greeted with a big smile by Véronique Dimofski, Julien's mother, who took over the kitchen from her father Pascal a few years ago. In this vast dining room, a little cool and in need of refreshment, our former Grand Chef of Demain Grand Est brilliantly warms hearts and souls with a cuisine of impressive precision, both in cooking and in presentation. The result is a modern, accomplished masterpiece, which, while not overly risky, leaves no one indifferent, with magnificent scallops meunière with beurre grand cru and a huge turbot with mousseline sauce (an absolute gourmet delight) and Espelette pepper. The team is equally at ease with desserts, including a tasty Louise Bonne pear poached with warm spices and blackcurrant sorbet, far less classic than the name suggests. Classic cellar with all the great names of Alsace and Lorraine.
