Gault&Millau's review 2025

If you love nature and wildlife, this is the place for you! Imagine a 120-hectare paradise where wolves, bison and bears live in semi-liberty, and in which some 50 lodges have been scattered, most of them built of wood and equipped with huge picture windows. Depending on your mood, you'll opt for the "Hameau des Loups", the "Cabanes de Trappeur" or the "Yukon Lodges", imagined in the spirit of those North American refuges immortalized in Jack London's novels. Our favorite is the "Tanière des Loups", whose architecture, inspired by the Hobbit houses in "The Lord of the Rings", features a terrace with a panoramic view of the park and the gray wolves. A unique place to discover European fauna and global biodiversity, a must-see.
