Remarkable Restaurant La Bonne Auberge is a Lorraine institution. A beautiful bourgeois house, its main dining room features a glass roof that acts as a skylight. During the Christmas season, the majestic olive tree is adorned with the famous Meisenthal glass balls. Since 1980, the formula has remained unchanged: Lydia in the kitchen and Isabelle in the dining room. The Egloff sisters still share the same desire to cook in a family atmosphere. The welcome is warm and inviting, and the desire to please can be felt right from the first course, which is a festival of flavors and profusion. The plates are elegant and their contents are as good as their looks: organic trout and shellfish marinade, multiple flavors, citrus granita or free-range poultry royale, celery-apple mousseline, black oil, Arabica reduced juice. The cuisine is creative, the combinations just right, there's nothing too much. Isabelle is always on hand to help you choose the right wines. The menu is of high quality, though perhaps a little expensive.
