Gault&Millau's review 2025

A Relais & Châteaux member, this establishment is first and foremost the stronghold of the young and (very) talented chef Fabien Mengus, but his loyal followers - and there are many of them - wouldn't give up the chance to extend their stay by putting down their suitcases in the beautiful house set up just for them, a few yards from the restaurant. Set in the heart of the Vosges National Park, this contemporary residence has been designed in perfect harmony with the surrounding natural environment. It now houses 12 uniquely charming rooms and suites, with their flowing lines, mix of wood and glass, and vast picture windows that invite you to join the forest with its immense fir trees, lakes and valleys. A rare place, ideal for discovering the Pays de Bitche and its miraculously preserved nature.
