Gault&Millau's review 2025

In the heart of the village of Wingen-sur-Moder, the former home of artist René Lalique was transformed in 2015 into a 5-star retreat that preserves the authenticity of this family home, while infusing it with the codes of contemporary luxury. Entrusted to interior designers Lady Tina Green and Pietro Mingarelli, the 6 exclusive suites are each inspired by an original motif by the master glassmaker, and feature precious crystal pieces decorating bed frames, bedside tables and mirrors. Just a stone's throw away, a modern annex designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta houses the large glass-enclosed dining room of the gourmet restaurant, inviting guests to savour Austrian chef Paul Stradner's top-flight cuisine, while admiring René Lalique's creations and the sumptuous scenery of the wooded park. A place not to be missed!
