Gourmet Restaurant There's no doubt about it, and in the opinion of the Carcassonnais themselves, when they happen to mingle with the tourist crowds in the Cité, this Comte Roger is one of the best places to enjoy the site. The pretty terrace, set high above the street, has a pleasantly chic feel, and the menu, while a little fashionable and mannered, reveals a carefully prepared and effortlessly presented cuisine: tarte tatin of pan-fried foie gras escalopes, sea bream plancha fregola sarda (this is one of the places where you can venture onto fish), pavé de veau fermier céleri en déclinaison, cassoulet maison. Well-stocked cellar and professional service.
