Description

The domaine was created when Jean-Bernard planted his vines in 1963, and is now operated by his children. Offering vintages the have been matured for a long time in the cellars (5 to 10 years “sur lattes”) at very reasonable prices, this is a domaine to discover.

Gault&Millau's review
The winemaker created this cuvée just for the fun of it and released only 500 bottles. Despite the 22g/l sugar, the chalky notes from the terroir still come out, especially since wines from the 2013 harvest are added, along with wines aged in solera. This champagne would match well with steamed dumplings.

Gault&Millau's review
The beautiful 2012 vintage is here sublimated by a meticulous dosage which leaves room for the terroir to reveal its flavours. Eight years of cellaring have enhanced the harvest and the balance between texture and flavour is starting to make sense. This champagne can be kept for another several years or could be open now with poultry in cream sauce.

Gault&Millau's review
Issued from the 2014 harvest, this cuvée spent 5 years on laths before being sold. The rich and ripe nose precedes a smooth palate where minerality dominates, associated with a zesty freshness and a balanced dosage. This champagne would pair well with scampi and lemon mayonnaise.

Gault&Millau's review
This cuvée is made with 60% of wines from the 2009 harvest, the rest coming from a solera of previous vintages. The bottles have been aged for 10 years on laths. The nose is very seductive with ripe fruits aromas. On the palate, this wine is a real delight. It is voluptuous, mature and fresh, with a pleasantly persistent finish. With an unbeatable quality-price ratio, this champagne is well-worth discovering.
