Another soloist, reflecting the year and the house style. The nose opens with toasty notes of hazelnut, dried fruit and white fruit, both highly concentrated and ethereal like essences. On the palate, the roundness and fullness of the vintage are there, but finesse is also expressed, intrinsically contained within generosity. Cellar master Julie Cavil likes to pair it with spicy dishes, the better to reveal the wine's unprecedented interplay of flavors. A splendid cuvée to savor for the holidays.
