Gault&Millau's review
98/100
From a walled plot in the village of Mesnil-sur-Oger, this wine is in fact a perfectly mastered blend of the 5-6 micro-parcels that make up the clos, harvested over several days depending on the grapes' ripeness. This 2006, coming from a warm year reputed to be full-bodied and sometimes a little heavy elsewhere, is superb here. The nose is complex, with fruit, fine evolutionary notes and minty freshness. On the palate, the wine benefits from the good side of 2006: ample, unctuous, coating. It's also razor-sharp, taut and has a crazy mineral length on the finish. The house likes to contrast it with dishes in sauce to cut the unctuousness of the sauce. It can also be enjoyed as a stylish pairing with dishes that are both creamy and mineral, such as platarkoum oysters. Or enjoy it on its own. Superb.
