Decked out in an onion-peel gold hue, this recently disgorged vintage reveals an explosive nose of rhubarb cake, quince, candied fruit and plums. On the palate, there's plenty of volume, with candied fruit, gingerbread, Speculos cookie and star anise. The bubbles are lively and present in a wine with more presence and power than tension. With its good length, this grand champagne de table will open with partridge with cabbage and lardons or confit pork chop in a casserole dish.
