A 2008 made from half Pinot Meunier and half Pinot Noir, using only press juice. A dashing, brilliant golden color with gray tints, the bubbles sparkle evanescently and sparsely. The nose is distinguished by its aromatic complexity: bigarreau cherry, redcurrant, white peach, fresh citrus and dried-fruit beggar. On the palate, the clean, inviting taste of red berries and citrus fruits is followed by a mineral, slightly dappled finish. Ideal with game pie.
