Gault&Millau's review 2026

Now at the helm of the Auberge du Bassin in Cap-Ferret with her partner Bertrand Guillou-Valentin, the dynamic Mélanie Serre, also cited at 109 and Jeune Talent Gault&Millau, signs the menu of this elegant contemporary hotel, trying her hand at the hotel table game. Coastal influences can be felt in this New York brasserie-style cuisine, where Atlantic produce has a prominent place; of course, oysters from their new neighbor Joël Dupuch, white asparagus from the Landes region and orange Maltese sauce, a lobster roll for fun, then caesar salad, grilled sole and lemon hazelnut butter, flame-cooked coquelet and smoked paprika marinade, peanut butter cheesecake. Good service.
