Gault&Millau's review2026
The success is well-deserved. Olivier Mascré proudly wears his chef's hat, and delights the Forêt Verte crowd with every service. People come from Houppeville, Bois-Guillaume, Mont Saint-Aignan and even Rouen to this long-established establishment opposite the town hall. The cuisine could be simpler and closer to regional products, but the menus are designed to please everyone. At €29, the pig's trotter ravioli and generous morbier poultry with bacon are a delight, while at €49, the search is more elaborate and the products more prestigious, with langoustine ravioli, foie gras, monkfish with mussel cream, grilled rice and broccoli or brill in chorizo scales. The profiteroles are generous, the plates well laid out and Aurélie, the chef's wife, takes care of everything. Classic wine cellar with a small selection by the glass.
