Gault&Millau's review 2025

Located on Place de la Pucelle, in the heart of Rouen, this magnificent 16th-century town house has been transformed into a 5-star hotel by Lille-based architectural firm Maes, who have achieved a flawless transformation. Intact, the ornate facade now houses 78 contemporary luxury rooms and suites, with sumptuous bedding and vast bathrooms. On the first floor, the L'Aumale restaurant attracts a loyal following of diners, seduced by its gourmet cuisine inspired by the great French references. A special mention goes to the Spa du Drap d'Or, with its 700 m2 of hammam, sauna, Cinq Mondes treatment rooms and vast swimming pool, whose glass ceiling floods the space with natural light.
