Once dedicated to training elementary school teachers, the former teacher’s college in Rouen, built between 1884 and 1887, is embarking on a new chapter. After more than a decade of planning and a major renovation led by the Matmut Group, the historic site is now reborn under the poetic name L’école buissonnière. It is home to the brand-new Hyatt Place Rouen hotel, which opened in August 2024, as well as 8,000 m² of modern office space housed in new buildings adjacent to the restored structure. The hotel’s 85 spacious rooms feature large floor-to-ceiling windows, functional furnishings, and amenities designed for both business travelers and those seeking a city getaway.
