Chef's Restaurant In Lyon's Saint Georges district, just a few meters from Saint Jean Cathedral, rue Mourguet has been home to an atypical address for several years now, where a succession of fine restaurants have been opening their doors. Le 14 février gave way to La Sommelière 5 years ago. In this restaurant, Takafumi Kikuchi interprets French cuisine using the finest ingredients. But some of the cooking and preparation could do with a little more precision, such as the saddle of rabbit served curiously raw... Fortunately, the duck raviole, potato chip leek scallops and some very nice desserts raise the bar. As for the wine selection, Sommelier Shoko Hasegawa shares her passion for French vintages and grape varieties. As soon as she arrived in Lyon, she was taken under the wings of the ineffable Georges Dos Santos of Antic Wine, the star of Vieux Lyon. Lovers of fine wines will be in heaven, as it's possible to find some magnificent skittles at the right price. A word of advice: you can prepare your evening in advance by ordering bottles to be opened. In fact, the cellar selection is completely online, so you can prepare for a wonderful evening. It's a pity you can't also read the menu items. The menu only changes every 2 months, and there are no alternatives. A wonderful evening in prospect, and a smiling, highly professional welcome from Shoko Hasegawa.
