Original Restaurant In the heart of the Saint-Jean district, hordes of tourists polish the cobblestones of Vieux Lyon with their sneakers. An undeniable tourist success, and many (too many) addresses that want to display "ici véritable bouchon" on their pediment. That's where Brasserie Gabriel comes in. The formula is simple and effective: a simple 3-course Lyonnais menu for under €30. The gratinée à l'oignon and the oeufs en meurette hold up quite well. As for the main courses, the pike quenelles are homemade, while the Bobosse andouillette comes with an old-fashioned mustard sauce, before the praline tart, which lacks a few pralines. With almost 20 wines available by the glass, you can treat yourself to a glass for between €6 and €8.
