For lack of thrushes, we eat blackbirds, as the saying goes. But fortunately, in Lyon, there's Grive, and its slate, as appetizing and suggestive as ever, in a bourgeois-bistro repertoire that's not short of ideas in flavors and accompaniments: haddock chutney mango spinach and fried chickpeas, pork loin confit creamy polenta and broccoli (or langoustines with avocado cream for a small supplement), brownie diplomate with tarragon poached pear in mulled wine in an unbeatable €29 lunch menu.
