Sponsored In this bistronomic restaurant overlooking the Adour, everything is an invitation to travel. The Art Deco setting of Le Splendid hotel and spa, a jewel of Roaring Twenties architecture, provides the restaurant, which is open to outside guests, with a setting of elegance and well-being that extends right down to the plate. The dishes, concocted by Chef Thomas Defachel using local, seasonal produce, are gourmet, inventive and well-balanced. The menu, renewed every month, features a harmonious blend of local flavors and international aromas. The restaurant also boasts a fine wine list that covers the breadth of France's vineyards, with a particular focus on regional wines. The former smoking room, unchanged since 1929 and renamed Bar Hemingway, is a confidential place that opens its doors on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Enjoy a cocktail or a prestigious selection of whiskies, armagnacs, rums and eaux-de-vie in a cosy, intimate setting. The Hall bar, with its terrace overlooking the landscaped garden, is the ideal place for a moment of relaxation.
