Gault&Millau's review 2025

In the little streets just behind the port of Bastia, a new address in place of La Tomate Rouge. Christelle and Thomas wanted to create a convivial place, based around simple cuisine and good products. And if you're vegan, gluten-free or meat-free, the chef will always have a solution for you. The short menu offers a "world cuisine" that invites you to escape the island for a while. Veggie burgers, fish and chips, a very good spring (and very veggie) risotto and an aioli in which the egg has been replaced by milk. Yes, in principle, but it would be nice if the aioli tasted a little more like garlic. Surprisingly, the wine list doesn't follow the same vein. A conscious choice in the selection of the 10 bottles on the slate that day. Only Corsican wines, and that's fine... A "glocal" address where you can enjoy a bowl, an Iberian palomita, or a hazelnut and chocolate streusel, while remaining firmly rooted in the Corsican wine terroir (4.5 euros for the first glass, 6 euros for the next!) With moderation, of course, before tackling the Corsican roads.
