Gourmet Restaurant Bistrot, but not canaille, Christophe Forget's table aims to be a cut above the rest, working on its products and presentations with a sophistication that's not to be sniffed at. The place offers both market cuisine (€35 menu) and more ambitious dinners, up to €43 and a well revisited region: ballotine of white asparagus in a flaky brioche, truffle supreme sauce, the classic crispy veal brain, tarragon gribiche sauce, scallops a la plancha, leek fondue in parmentière, wild garlic pesto, a sweet pineapple, passion fruit and pistachio macaron, pineapple marmalade. The cellar holds its own with a good selection of Bergerac and Périgord wines.
