Gault&Millau's review 2025

Nestled on the edge of the village, in the heart of a 17-hectare park planted with tall trees, this medieval château flanked by turrets was once owned by Henri de Jouvenel, Colette's husband, who wrote much of her work here. Now owned by Corréziens Maxime Meizaud and Michel Mounier, the property houses 24 rooms and 3 suites, offering the most refined of retreats, with their period furniture and wood panelling, vast bathrooms and splendid views over the gardens and nearby forest. It's also the perfect place to savor the inspired cuisine of chef Geoffrey Debrach, served in the château's dining room or on the large terrace overlooking the park...
