Gault&Millau's review 2025

Not far from Sarlat and the Lascaux cave, this address is nestled in a former 16th-century farmhouse that now houses 3 bedrooms and a detached barn converted into a gîte (with living room and fitted kitchen), all decorated with a mix of historic elements (antique floor tiles and oak parquet, thick stone walls) and more contemporary pieces. Conceived as a true family home, Bel Estiu features a lounge with a library corner and board games, ideal for lazing around after a dip in the pool or a stroll in the park, with its tall trees and flowering meadow. Last but not least, the food is as simple as it is delicious: planks of charcuterie or local cheeses, and solid breakfasts with homemade jams and pastries.
