Gault&Millau's review2025
The owners of Saint-Siméon cultivate luxury à la Normande. In this beautifully refurbished complex, set in the heart of the countryside just 5 minutes from Honfleur, holidaymakers appreciate the charming image of terracotta floor tiles, beamed ceilings and country chic comfort. A young chef, Kevin Legoy, under the supervision of Matthieu Pouleur, the chef of the house, offers a series of successful formulas, both in terms of size and price: on the €56 dînette menu, mackerel tartare (discreet), kohlrabi and horseradish, trout from Acquigny with peas and beurre blanc and apple vinegar, veal shank with organic cider and marrow toast. Good apple tart (with vanilla ice cream, so as not to overemphasize Normandy), lounge music in the 2000s, a little out of sync with the wise foreign clientele scattered among the group's various charming houses. Diligent service, a few expensive wines by the glass from an ordinary cellar.
