Gault&Millau's review 2025

Courbet, Monet, and Sisley had made it their favorite retreat, captivated by this 17th-century cottage, the charm of its dovecote and orchards, bathed in the shifting light of the sea and the sky. A century and a half later, the spirit of the Impressionists still permeates the grounds, now transformed into a 5-star hotel and a member of Relais & Châteaux. People come here to enjoy the delights of an idyllic Normandy. The 35 rooms and suites are spread between the wine press and the main house, a spa offering a full range of treatments and massages to relax body and mind, the La Boucane bistro, featuring seafood-inspired dishes, and the gourmet restaurant Les Impressionnistes, led by Chef Matthieu Pouleur—named a “Grand de Demain 2026 Normandie”—who showcases local recipes and ingredients.
