Chef's Restaurant It's a real pleasure to return to the Saint-Siméon farmhouse, this historic site of great beauty overlooking the Bay of Seine, known for two centuries when Mother Toutain regaled her painter guests who were inspired by the place. The 21st century has other constraints, but the great hall still has its appeal, and chef Matthieu Pouleur is working hard to revive its heyday. The offer is still modest (a few dishes on the menu, depending on the number of courses, and no à la carte menu), but the chef is committed to highlighting local produce (local seasonal products, local butter, homemade bread...) with ideas that combine the simple with the rich, such as asparagus and mackerel, with a caviar blini that's a little crazy, or red mullet, very well cooked, with zucchini and a slightly salty anchovy condiment. A classic pigeon with peas, giblets and a Norman beer jus, closing with a simple, fresh strawberry agastache dessert. Young, somewhat recitative and dedicated service, a classic and expensive cellar nevertheless defended with talent and knowledge by Delphine Borner, a sommelier director who is very at ease, including in English, and who knows her menu perfectly.
