Remarkable Restaurant The address is historic. The name is still written in large letters on the façade, but a champagne brand has been added, as the place now belongs to a wine group. In the very large dining room, Majorelle's maple and sycamore create a perfect setting, elegant and warm. The Art Nouveau woodwork, illuminated by bronze sconces by Planel, adds to the magic of the place. For the past few years, Hugo Bourny has been offering a very engaging and light cuisine, expressed through his lively compositions. The summer starter is tiptoeing: cucumber is combined with marinated cuttlefish, accompanied by a very sapid broth with green cardamom and lovage. Simple but so effective! Next, beautifully pearly sea bream is served alongside superb "burnt" leeks. The bouillon, with its ginger and nasturtium accents, gives the dish an extremely pleasing relief. Subtly marinated in chartreuse, the tender lamb chop, pink to perfection, could not have been a better accompaniment than these delicious peas, whose simmered pods exude discreet notes of spruce. The chef also lays on the table a sort of "leg of lamb, tarragon and lemon" cromesquis, which we savor with relish. The dessert brings the meal to a clean, frank conclusion: the acidity of the rhubarb is tempered by a silky creaminess of Guara almond and meadowsweet, punctuated by spicy notes (wiri wiri pepper). Service is lively, attentive and friendly. However, a certain feverishness does not spare the less experienced. Opulent wine list. If you're not counting, you'll be able to treat yourself to some prestigious wines from older vintages. More reasonably, a few dozen euros may be enough to treat yourself to a decent bottle.
