Gourmet Restaurant The city's only real brasserie - in the classic, noble sense of the word. Its success has been undeniable for decades. Regularly renovated, the vast, soundproofed dining room is warm and inviting, with its wood panelling, colourful murals and red chairs and benches. The menu, which is available in "bistro" and "brasserie" versions, is based on tried-and-tested dishes prepared with a certain savoir-faire, such as this fine foie gras terrine cooked in sweet wine and accompanied by a fig chutney, this sea bass ceviche, these sautéed prawns with a mango/coconut sauce that could do with an electric shock of flavours, or this rump steak with a pepper sauce flambéed with cognac.. Traditional desserts (crème brûlée, for example) in line with expectations. On the wine side, a true brasserie menu, eclectic (including in price) and as consensual as possible. Some good pickings: Beaujolais from domaine Besson, père et fils; Alsace Frey-Sohler; Côtes-du-Rhône Ferraton or Delas. A special mention for the service, which is lively, smiling and attentive.
